About Me:
I hail from the great state of Iowa, a place I hold in nothing but the highest regard. I’ve lived in DC off and on for the past few years, I love it here, and I don’t imagine I’ll be leaving anytime soon.
My BA is in Art/Art History and my MA is in Arts Management. Basically, I am one of those people who aspired to be an artist but was too chicken to pursue it as a career, so I spent years studying other artists’ work, and then more years working in museums and galleries. My current job affords me a nice balance of design work, technical work, and interaction with creative people – and I freaking love it.
A lot of the people I love most in the world live far far away, so I created this blog as a way to keep people abreast of the daily trivial occurrences in my life, because you just know that they’re dying to know about my unusual run-ins with metro cops or inability to find the perfect pair of jeans. More than anything, I created this blog because I am a nerd who enjoys building websites, and I’ve had this domain for over a year, but have never used it for anything.

I am Ellen and this is my blog. When I was
a tiny little child in my beloved home state of Iowa, I couldn’t
pronounce my own name, so I called myself Onyah, and that’s
